Is it Still Called Drowning?A Poem by Jon Sandersa question...
Is it Still Called Drowning? A disturbing calm drawn upon the surface of this pond I’m falling under water, seemingly with ease I wonder and I wonder, is it still called drowning… if I never struggle to breathe? The water’s calm and… you’re gone with so much by your side- some memories and some dreams I had before I died I’m drowning without you by my side, while my only reason is to have somewhere to hide I’m drowning without ripples of any tide Without a splash of desperation… not a breeze If you could see my face, you’d say I was happy, seemingly with ease I wonder and I wonder, is it still called drowning… if I never even try to breathe? © 2008 Jon SandersAuthor's Note
