Humble Me, Bumble Bee

Humble Me, Bumble Bee

A Poem by Andy

Humble me, bumblebee,

As your delicate sensors caress me,

The flower of your youth.

Take my pollen to your lips,

Regurgitate it and be transfixed,

For it is the Love affair,

For the flowers oh so fair,

That drip honeysuckles, from their comb,

To find a new way, A new pathway to home.

For I am but a flower,

Arranged in dress statelier than a king,

Here today, in the furnace glazed tomorrow,

How can one anticipate the guise of a flower?

The Love we made sweet Bumblebee,

Will forever humble me.

The purest choice I ever made,

Was to make honey for your accolades.

Forget me not my darling bumble,

And even as my soul gives way,

I’ll remember the sweet love we made,

Nectar for the serenade,

Make me meek, more meekly motivated,

I am yours for now-forever,

You’re my incense and my measure

Sweetness permeates my dainty treasure,

Humble me-Bumblebee.
