Lingua est Artis - SlipA Poem by Jon Gary FrostA celebration of the word "slip" in haiku form.
Slip, slip, slipping, slipped.
Tragedy and comedy
wrapped into one word.
A banana peel,
or the journey to madness,
or a simple knot.
How you change into
something more comfortable.
A lovely nights end.
Or the verb used for
medical purgatory
the comatose state.
Or a noun, even.
After a day on the lake
where you put your boat.
I adore this word.
so complex, yet so simple.
