That's awesome, man. I just got ordained at dudeism.com out of boredom. I didn't know you had to give them money for your fake certificate so I closed the window, but I'm ordained now. I like the way this poem -- and the whole idea behind dudeism -- is openly mocking the simplicity of becoming a preacher. When preaching an idea and not something fact-based, how much do you really have to go through in order to become a professional? It's like if I wanted to be a pastor of Catcher In the Rye. Oh, I just have to read the book and pick up on all the subtleties and then preach the word of Holden? Easy peasy. Well done, man. This was brilliant in such a subtle way and I'm glad you sent it over to me.

This reminds me of something that would go perfectly with a movie such as the Big Lebowski or even Wayne's World... format and style are all fantastic and make for a great haiku... have you considered expanding on this piece a little more? I'd like to know more about where you're going with The Dude in this piece!

This cracked me up! Good job! Barbara

Funny! It sounds like a real priest in the beginning--like a young one trying to assert himself? And then it's just funny. It's a nice juxtaposition.
