Teach me How to Love

Teach me How to Love

A Poem by Black Rose

I learn by watching and observing

English and rhetoric come at ease

But no one ever showed me how to love

How to do it properly

There are no notes to take

There is no book to read

I have to learn on my own

I know I am still young

I have years to get it right

In the past I have just exposed myself

Opened my heart so wide, for the whole world to see

How vulnerable I am

Those romance movies and stories just play games with my mind

I set my standards to their liking

Reality means no one will ever reach them

365 days I cry myself to sleep

365 day I pray that one day I will get it right

I have a feeling no one  is listening

I still do not get it

Someone please, Teach me how to love
