I remember nothing

I remember nothing

A Poem by Jon Cronshaw
"

a sketch for a poem

"

Every time I blink my eyes open to a new world,
There is always repetition.

Faces I don’t know appear and recall events that I cannot.
Everything is new and confusing.

Words are uttered and evaporate into nothingness,
The subjects and sounds only connect with the immediate moment,
I remember nothing.

All that remains is syntax,
Words clatter and clutter,
Nothing follows nothing follows nothing follows nothing,
Ever present, neither here nor there.

Very enigmatic. I feel frustration and perhaps resignation. Mysterious.
