Love? Definateley, maybe

Do you remember that humid night

remember the nerves, the heat, the fright

Crickets calling our names from the dark

words failed me, my throat so dry and tight

A thin sheet separated us from lost innocence

worn away your intrepid resistance

You captured my every burning, every desire

your touch released every bit of me, all of the fire

I never knew what hit me when you came

The feeling of belonging as you called out my name

I could only surrender to your deep blue eyes

I’d be fulfilled now if my existence expired

That moment is tattooed on my beating heart

Where two cigarettes lit up the dark

Hush my love no need to speak

Everything was just so complete.

The feeling of belonging as you called out my name
I’d be fulfilled now if my existence expired

Very beautifully captured... loved the way you have recreated the fire again in the words..
