Under A Blue Moon

(Written by a soldier, preparing for battle)

Full moon rising over Lebanese hills

Soldiers waiting for the kill

Blue moon rising over Maine road

Our Fortune turned?, Berkovic skill !

BBC world service beams across the sea

Motson and Davies carry the news

United collapse under another City onslaught

This is war as the battle ensues

I watch from my lookout,

Our defence solid and ready

We wait on our captains shout

Our attack potent and deadly

Ill take the right flank

Seany takes the left

Well hit them hard in the middle

Goater sinks the ball deep into the net

If I die at Kippax street

Fighting for Colin the king

Forget not the glory of the city

Manchesters only real team

I am here, there, everywhere

Under a blood red Lebanon sky

Yet all I see are blue dreams

I am city till I die.
