A Poem by Jonathan Bryant Dean
"

My intent is to tell an old joke in a new way. I chose to convey this tasteless attempt at humor using a limerick form.

"

Helen Keller
Jonathan Dean

Deaf, Dumb, and Blind Helen Keller,
Whose dog ‘Ungh’, was a sad little feller,
He was deaf and blind also,
And couldn’t see where to go,
That’s why Helen’s socks were all yeller!

Helen Keller, a cheese grater she took,
A mistake, for the grater she shook,
As she tried to read,
It made her fingers bleed,
And she thought; “My what a violent book!”

ah it's okay. nothing too captivating or exciting. or even deep to be exact but a small rhyme of things, as I read a couple of your poetry

I know a poem's a poem that it could be written in any way but it's just for example Edgar Allen Poe, Shakespeare or whoever, poetry is poetry. Either it's deep or not.

and I see the comments below it's supposed to be a joke? aha okay then :)

indeed john, you are the limerick master, and I do miss reading
your previous work before the crash. hopefully you'll bring em back in time.

ROFL..okay, I'm sure my mother would not want me laughing at this but hey, I'm all grown up now and it made me laugh so hard I woke up my dogs, who started to bark because they thought an intruder had come in, which woke up my son who thought there must be an intruder so he came to rescue me.....he didn't see the humor in all of this but then, life is strange! I'm so glad I stopped by your page and read this tonight!

NO! This is so wrong! Poor wretched Keller being betrayed so ...humorously! Cheers to the cafe's limerick king! Haha

That's a different outlook.

Haha I like this a lot (even though it is kind of mean, but most jokes are). Reminds me of a nursery rhyme
