Get Your Irish OnA Poem by That_GuyA fun little Poem for St. Patrick's DayGet your Irish on for today’s the day, To don some green and keep the leprechauns at bay. Ride that Rainbow to the pot of gold, A Celtic tradition from the tales of old. I’ve puckered up and kissed the Blarney stone, Now the gift of gab is mine alone. Now how about a Limerick, A poem in a poem, a neat little trick. A short little man wearing green, Who stood near a bright colorful beam, He watched his pot O’gold, But that was getting old, So he sold it and lived his dream. With my clover in hand I’ll try my luck, Maybe this time I won’t suck. My turn arrives and I step up, And without barely trying I make the cup! The beer pong champ, I begin my reign, Forget chess or writing, this is my game. Try as you may, but your effort is moot, For in my cups, the beer is Root. © 2012 That_GuyAuthor's Note
