True Ecstasy

Inspired by my Muse

You’ve never truly known strength,

Until the day I held you tight.

No safe haven as warm or shielding,

As when you’re wrapped securely in my arms.

Every detail, every inch of your fair skin,

Explored by my rough yet gentle hands.

Our bodies entwined and minds connected

New smells, new tastes, true ecstasy.

Our paths collide on a journey with the same destination,

Our hearts will lead as our bodies eagerly follow.

My gaze never breaks from yours as we reach the pinnacle,

Pulse quickens, sweat glistens, hushed screams echo.

I’ve never truly seen beauty,

Until the day I woke next to you.

Never so at peace or complete,

As when you’re wrapped securely in my arms.

It is a romantic piece but I don't consider it sappy...it gets right to the heart of the matter (no pun intended) without sacrificing any of the poetic possibilities it presents...a solid statement of devotion...great :)

Because you must say them as suave as you do when you write. I have the tendecy to speak poet tongue, because that is the way my mind thinks, and many people have a hard time grasping what I say, as they are simple, my mind is complex. So I must translate my thoughts into lay man's terms... You my dear poet, do not speak in riddles with you poet tongue, therefore, your words will strike right to the heart of a woman, as long as she is the right one. You will go through many, loving vreatures before the one who most understands you and is intrigued by you will take pleasure in the mystery of you... I married my complete opposite. It works for us because he enjoys my complexity and is strong enough to WANT to understand. I intrigue him because of my many sides, and my spontaneous nature:) Speak you poetry and you will find the one who will adore your depth!
