Love is PatientA Poem by jonathanjaimeFor it is not right to rush love because love is patient.Everyday, I meet people in a crowd Some soft, some loud And I ask myself, where do I fit in In the greater scheme of things?
Will there ever be meaning To the life that I’m living In this crowded place where I am just a face?
Will there ever be light In the middle of a cold winter night? Will I ever get the chance to see you And change my grays into hues?
Give me a chance to have a glimpse of your eyes As they sparkle like stars in the skies. Give me a chance to see you smile and laugh When life gives more than enough. Give me a chance to wipe your tears And take your fears away. Give me a chance to share with you The burden of your days, So that when my days are done, I will be proud to face the setting sun.
I know life is a constant wait, But I hold on to my faith. That, yes, one day we shall cross the street, And finally meet.
And in that moment in time We have decided to cross each other’s line. And, yes, my heart will finally beat, When we finally meet. © 2013 jonathanjaimeReviews
