Summer Skies

Summer Skies

A Poem by Jonathan Cadien
"

A fairly abstract poem about jealousy and realization.

"

I see broken smiles in the clouds,

Love struck hatred painted in wistful white strokes.

They call me home to a place I have never been.

Caress these bruised wings;

Cherish their wasted glory,

For their whisper now echoes in silence.

The birds mock me,

Thrashing and beating the sky into a haze.

They flaunt their divinity to the horizon.

Let me keep just one more secret,

One more solemn truth between the stars and this life"

It’s all worth it.

Pretty abstract, but I feel like I get my emotions across.

Sad.
Maybe tomorrow, you will change this sober piece.

My advice, describe what you see...your emotions seem to press'n your writings.
Good Day.
