EdenA Poem by Jonathan CadienMy take on the garden of Eden.Naked in youth, we are all that remain of the beauty. Lying on scorched earth, we sew the ground with our tears; In spite and ruin, our screams echo into the empty halls of the divine. What was once green now fades to gold; Precious and hollow, A desperate recollection of what was, but will never be again. We sold heaven for this charade; A chance to be greater than the infinite- Mortal and bound to our choice to live; Damned and saved to the steady beat of a broken heart. © 2014 Jonathan CadienAuthor's Note
