My Teddy Bear

My Teddy Bear

A Poem by Jonathan Bodnar
"

Dedicated to Casey, I just wanted to say thank you, you made a difference. I miss you!

"

Hey there,
My Teddy Bear,
I haven't talked to you in a while,
And I can't remember the last time I saw your smile
I miss the long nights we'd spend spilling ourselves
Into this little box stuck on screen.
I miss the way you told me everything would work out
Sooner than later.
I wish I could have told you,
Just how much you helped me
So, thank you Casey.

I find my life tangled
With things I can't make sense of
And I can't stop looking
For someone to talk to,
So My Teddy Bear,
Can I talk to you once again,
About this and about that
And never have to worry about what you think
Or what you would say to my insanity.

To me this felt like some one older regressing, of course. I like the sense of innocence you kept in there, but still the awareness, even if only a little, that something is not right. Very nice write, kind of sad. Everyone should have someone.

this is adorable not to underestimate your writing ability of course. this is portrayed in a very wholesome light. I enjoyed the way you conveyed the sweet innocennce of childhood.
