Freedom 2

Freedom 2

A Poem by Jonathan Bodnar
"

The second to Freedom

"

Cold Melting metal running through my veins
Into an endless pit of controlled apathies
Feelings drain
Memories sinking down my spine
As your fingers glide across my skin
This foreshadowing thought of you
I have dreamt of before
When finally your hand melts into mine
My eyes soak up your beauty
Penetrating my soul with every word
Healing my duck taped heart with your kiss
The tides begin rise above us
And truth soaks into our skin
As the stars cry there light upon us
This soul swimming into the shining horizon
I have found you
And your lasting contentment floods my thoughts
As we begin to rise
Rise above the tides
Higher and higher
With you in my arms
We fly
Fly into heavens Freedom.

This piece has very nice imagery and the build to the climax was quite incredible. I don't know if it's what you intended but I feel this piece hit climax at the very end which I feel was a very strong and wise decision. It worked so well here, I truly enjoyed this piece. I love the adjectives and simile's you chose to use as well. Very nice write!

This piece is very beautifully written. There is passion written down from the heart. I can see that Freedom is an intense encounter between two lovers.
