Forever To Stay

Forever To Stay

A Poem by Jonathan Bodnar

I never forgot your face
So long ago we loved
But that never seemed to disgrace
I never forgot those times we made each other laugh
Everyday the thought of you burned my thoughts
And now I don't know what to do without you

all I want is to be with you
To breathe your air
To hear your voice
Touch your skin
I have been swept away like thorn caught in the wind
Mesmerized by your stunning motion
Your grace
Beauty
And heart
This is what I give to you now
My love
As a token of trust, and faith to the unknown
A vow to God and to myself never to take for granted

As we dance along the earths horizon
I want to sing my soul to yours
I want to kiss you under a waterfall
This is what I dream of
You in my arms
And as we sit here on the beach
Watching the sun clash into Haiti's cry
Clenching the last minutes of dawn
We steel a moment from the heavens
burning our feet deep into the sands of love
I can no longer see our end
Taming your beauty inside my mind
A pain so sharp its inviting
Silence has falls upon our tears
Forever to stay

Very pretty poem.
Great imagery.

I like the title very much. Simple. But there's such a lot of strength in those words.
