Angels of Stone

Angels of Stone

A Poem by Jonathan Bodnar

Segregated thoughts cut this dieing image
Persecuting  screams pierce those those long forgotten souls
As they lay stuck in this unforgiving sleep
A single grave hides in the shadows of despair
Ivy devouring the age old tumb
The markings left for generations speak their existance
They sing a song for the starts
In hope that the Father can still hear them

These stone plates cry tears of blood
In hopes for the Fathers mercy upon their pain
The moons light protecting all the lost statues
Who spread their wings to the winds call
These stone Angels watch over our lost love
Buried deep into rotting depression

Heavens breath still lingers
Making its way across this cold field
To free these lifeless alters
Sold to the Devils wish
