Rain

Rain

A Poem by Jonathan Bodnar

The rain begins to fall down,
Down upon our heads,
Mine,
And yours,
I ask myself when your coming home to me,
"soon" you say,
Though I know your not really here,
Here beside me staring into the storm,
"Why must we be so far away from each other?",
I need you here,
I need you beside me.
As the rain fell,
you began to disappear,
Into my memory,
Into the wind,
As the trees dance in endless harmony.
As for the grass,
And the rain,
They begin to disintegrate along with you,
And your endless beauty.

It seems as if you are waiting for her to come back, but you know that she is disappearing anyways. Heartbreaking. Great imagery. A few grammar/spelling errors. :)
Penned wonderfully
