Plastic Diamonds

Plastic Diamonds

A Poem by Jonathan Bodnar

Forever lost in what we cannot find.
Blinded by wealth and fame,
We search for happiness.
Our life-song composed,
but never sang.
Oblivious to what they tell us,
We dwell on what will never be.
We are like liquid pearls,
Melting upon stone,
Diluting ourselves into plastic diamonds,
Scattered across a sea of lies.
