Empty fullness

Empty fullness

A Poem by Jonathan Bodnar

Hopelessly sitting beside the ocean,
I hear your voice calling,
Telling me that you love me,
Telling me that you will never forget me.

Well you have
And you will never be here again.
I sit here,
Beside your memory
A broken memory
That will never truly be alive again,
For darling I lived for your touch,
I breathed for your gaze,
And I died for your kiss,

Though I may not be with you for life's end,
I will always have been there for your life's begining,
I toss your memory back into the ocean,
And walk off,
Leaving it till tomorrow,
When once again I shall come back here to feel the empty fullness of your love...
