I Cry

I Cry

A Poem by Jonas Hughes
"

Private life has become public but the false display of emotion and false sentiment grows more transparent every day. Emotional vampires draining others of their energy in order to feel something

"
mainThey Say Men Don't Cry
             I Do
I just Don't Cry In Front Of You
          I Cry Alone
That's What  I Do
I Am Not Moved By Digital Sympathy
          Digital Friends Feeding Fake Empathy
My Pain Is Not For The Display To Be Shared
          How Can You Care
You Weren't There To Share The Pain
You weren't' There When It Was Me She Blamed
She Stopped. I Didn't. I Yelled About Her Hypocrisy
I Wiped Her Mouth Every Time Wishing It Was Me
The Chemotherapy Was Worse Than Death
Now I Miss Her Chemical Breath
There Are No Pictures To Post
I Have No Feelings To Share
Nor I Do I Care About Your Prayers
        My Despair Can Not Compare
To My Anger's Righteous Desperation
Stoked By False Feelings From A Digital Nation
They Say Men Don't Cry
        I Do
I Just Don't Cry In Front Of You
        I Cry Alone
That's What I Do

First Draft. I am kind of uncomfortable with the rhyming but it is the way it came out, what can you do.
