Maestro

Maestro

A Poem by jollypolly2
"

this is a piece that I wrote after attending one of my granddaughter's band recitals.

"

Maestro

A cacophony of instruments

violins, clarinets and saxophones,

tuba, drums and timpani,

keyboard, bells and glockenspiel

were tuning for the band's

performance.

Maestro holds his arms

up high, the baton in

his hand--silence.

Slowly he moves his arms

down and up, round and

back, the band begins

to play. Bows stretch gently

across the strings, clarinets and

saxophones, tuba, drums and timpani,

keyboard, bells and glockenspiel

now create a euphony.
