Fences

Fences

A Poem by jollypolly2

Fences

Fences around the house

to deter the thief

of memoirs, to keep

out trespasser.

Fences around the body

to deter the braggart's

closeness, to keep out

the rapscallion.

Fences around the heart

to deter the pirate

of the heart, to keep

it unbroken.
