ShadowA Poem by Jolie BlossomI wrote this about a friend who was very independent, and loved being alone. People thought he was antisocial, but he was just very mature for his age and wanted to find himself.I'm not alone, though you may think so, I dream of places I wish to go. Not alone, but with my shadow. I lay on my hammock under summers slight breeze I imagine climbing all of the swaying trees. I don't feel ashamed, nor do I feel alone If I want some company, On the ground, waits my shadow. If you grow into your skin, you will never be alone Give your heart its deserving love, before you let it go How would you deal, if your love goes before you do It's not guaranteed that they'll live as long as you But forever your shadow remains as long as you're alive So really...I am not alone, though you may think so Everywhere I go, I have my shadow.
