Tradgically alone

poem about someone who was abused either physically or mentally and thinks their is really only one way out from the pain.

Wake me from the dark

this nightmare, never ending

the voices and faces, so accusing

on my innocence they have left their mark

i try to smile on

but i feel so alone

the bruises they have left

you cannot see

but to me

they will never leave

i was so naive to believe

but now i see

standing in front of me

only one way out

i am so relieved
