Blue No More

a free verse poem for my creative writing class

Blue is for calm

for the endless ocean

for the sky high above

for a heavenly song

a bird singing along

Blue is for your eyes looking loveingly at me

enveloping me, so deep you would swear they were the sea

Blue is for you holding tightly to me

for your heart and soul intertwined with mine

Oh blue

how dare i say, I love you

Blue is for sorrow and grief

while I wait for you by the sea

all of it reminding me of you

Blue is for the water lapping at my feet

for the tears streaming down my face

Blue I will wait for you tomorrow and ever more

One day soon you'll come back to me

and I will be blue no more.

This is bittersweet. It makes me happy to hear about their relationship, but sad to know that one of them is away. I love how you ended it:
