What Love Does

What Love Does

A Poem by jojoegummy

I was about to pass

One of the bevy giggles

At a quarter distance, I stared

On his ID, I saw them peeked

I wanna pull their hair

For their minds’ on air

I wanna say he’s mine

But that wouldn’t be fine

I was on his class

And there was this lass

Silent is she, almost mute

Then I realized she’s cute

She knew that I know him

Told me she’s in love with him

Another b***h around, I said

And another ache on my head

Of him, she wants stories

Instead I would say my apologies

Would tell her some, if I’m on high

Anyways, why should I?

With those bevy

Attached to me is envy

How could he notice me?

If they’re all that I can’t be

At times I feel insecure

Would there be a cure?

Maybe there is

If I would be his

Said love made me blind

Yet, said my friend;

Love is not blind

It sees but it doesn’t mind
