Going Back to Summer

Going Back to Summer

A Poem by jojoegummy

Summer ended, so we parted

My mind was never at rest

Vacation will never be a break

If you are everything I seek

First day of classes,

Hoping it would be like summer

Hoping, I would see you around

Thank God, you’re my classmate

Said I would sit next to you

But here she is ramping with her heels

Pulled the chair and sat

And may the chair eat her up

MWF, we have a casual chat

TTHS, if I’m lucky you’ll say hi

Lucky so much is she to talk to you

Day by day, Hour by hour

I wish to go back to summer

Wherein I would sit next to you

Shoulder to shoulder, we care not

No talks, yet every moment’s meaningful
