Equality

Equality

A Poem by John Clark

There are those who fought, were fraught, and took shot
just to have a chance at what we have, free thought.

It seems like we forgot, they have naught, were not taught
because we treat it like a right, free thought.

Nobody shoulders the fact they were shot, they rot, and made squat
all caused by the desire of free thought.

We say all humans are equal, but we are in a high spot, a drop shot, a french knot
we can say this because we have free thought.

Everyone forgets that free thought, many have naught.
