"A Hearts Rewind"

"A Hearts Rewind"

A Poem by Ben

your heart of glass,

not fragile as such,

i can see through,

but never touch,

i know the inside,

but can not keep,

it hurt so much,

that my eyes weep,

i see the glass,

and taste what it contains,

like its own herion,

drives me insane,

to see that beauty,

that could have been mine,

just could we,

rewind the time,

to have to hold,

that glass filled chamber,

but none the less,

i can not blame her,

without you yes,

i can be strong,

the question tho,

is for how long?,

seven years,

i see the glass,

wondering when,

its my turn to pass,

i scream, i cry,

not sure what to do,

why does my life,

not end with you,

heart open,

no defense, no sheild,

no end to this journey,

i will not yeild,

let the past grow strong,

the future fade away,

be with me,

just one day,

the day is all over,

and there i stand,

dressed in my best,

holding your hand,

reading off my vows,

i will commit for life,

the day you will,

be called my wife.

Author's Note

Ben
This poem had two unqiue things that i like, one the first four lines have a crazy analogy that i got from a glass door, two the line that rhymes with chamber i tried to use two words for one word rhyme. i think i pulled it off well.
