Battle of heart

 

"Battle of heart"

they sing the songs

and you know the words,

but the song is the same,

its one everyone has heard,

emotions expressed,

as they feel broken,

their is heart gone,

they feel unspoken,

remembering the past,

brings another tear to my eye,

its seems the only relief,

is to let my heart cry,

moarn for the lost,

of who i once held,

but i ask myself,

did i fail?,

did i give up?,

or lose all hope,

will my heart,

be strong enough cope?,

to be here without you,

in this world alone,

will i make it,

on my own?,

so many battles,

i have fought,

but for us,

what have they brought?,

apart and alone,

that is what i have won,

will i be alone,

when its all said and done?,

one more battle,

has just came to an end,

now i can start over,

i can re-begin,

with a fresh breath of air,

and new outlook on life,

i can finally move on,

without the one i called "wife".
