Lights Out

Lights Out

A Poem by John'n

First the night's quick day-to-day
type and tappity, then away
to feel the warmth of water on my shoulders
while I ready for the dreaming

suddenly, the lights are out
sweet sightlessness
a glorious sensation turn-about
I can only feel

wet as birth but role reversed,
panting happy, delightfully confused
might my eyes have closed;
might I be dreaming?

but the heat of what I'm dreaming here,
the magic of this love
the water turning cold
but I am trembling, weak from what I feel

just as suddenly the lights are on again
alone and smiling, naked in my joy
I know that I had company;
in the water, in the dark

only she can make me feel that good.
