The fact is that this eye can only light up if it receives the signal from the sending eye. You may move the eyes with minute adjustments till they face each other precisely. You need to adjust till the receiving eye glows with a steady light. While dim or flickering light is the sign of a misalignment, steady glow indicates that the sensors are in position. At this point, if you are able to operate the door with the opener, all is well. If this does not happen still, then it is advisable you call a professional to attend to your door.
