Ode to KFC

Just a silly poem I thought of in World geography. Dedicated to Abby. :P

KFC, You mean the world to me.

How I long to know your chicken recipe.

When I ride by your restaurant and see that red and white,

I am filled with joy and I shriek with delight.

How I love that crunchy chicken that melts in my mouth.

You can only get good chicken like this way down South.

You might be greasy and fattening too.

But I don't care, your taste remains true.

So let's go by KFC and pick up a bucket.

It's so much better than Mcdonald's chicken nuggets.

If i had a choice, I'll eat there everyday,

Too bad they close at 11, and I can no longer stay.

While I'm more partial to some Popeye's chicken these days, I still remember back to a few years ago when the only major chicken store was KFC. Lines were long and the street always smelling of fried chicken...I actually just fetched a box of Popeye's just a few days ago, even. I don't think America will every get away from fried chicken...

A charmingly adorable poem that could even be a jingle or something of the sort for an commercial KFC might want to air; simple yet evocative language and a rhyme scheme to go with it. Keep writing! :)

Funny and cute, but I hateto break it to you, Popeyes is better. I like KFC but they can't compare with Popeyes spices

I liked this poem too because I love Kentucky Fried Chicken too. I like it better than Popeye's. I can't stand that chicken actually...it's terrible in my opinion...this poem made me smile and laugh. It was cute. Thanks for sharing. :)
