Caylee

Caylee

A Poem by Hatchling

Hey Caylee, I remember your name
Everything is not the same without you.
I wish I could have been there to save you.
You are finally away from harm.
You are home with the angels.
I can see you looking down at us.

I know your wondering why your mother put you in harms way.
You did not deserve this.
You were here but as soon as we
Turned around you were suddenly gone
my heart is hurting and my life feels like nothing
I would risk it all for your safety but now it seems lately justice can not be served.

I still believe that one day your mother will get what she deserves.
The lesson was never learned,
Caylee earned the right to live clouds above hover light opens up and I wish that I could have saved that sweet little angel.

We will always love you even though your mother didn't
you will always have a place in our hearts.

Hey Caylee, I remember your name.

strange that you read me and then I find this
I use to live close to Caylee's family
have been to the woods were she was carelessly placed
this will sound even stranger because we do not know each other-my daughters end with ee , her little self was found on my birthday, my daughter shares caylee's birthday, her trial started on my brothers birthday (he is an attorney and eats breakfast with Judge Belvin Perry the cases judge) and my daughter has always had star sunglasses at her birthday parties ,strange but it all means something to me
wish I had a beat to go with this song
remembering her is so important, she was a gift truly
I noticed this year the news didn't even mention her birthday
and Casey can hide as long as she wants...she will be done one way or the other
thank you for sharing nice meeting you

this is a sensitive and sweet poem. it's tragedy was that her abused and abandoned her. she has loving people that want to take care of her.she will need time and space to heal her soul. great poem.

My grandmother was obsessed with the trial and i think you did a great job with this for little Caylee. She has a place in everyone's heart i think that knew anything about this. You and your friend did a wonderful job!
