The wolf moon

The wolf moon

A Poem by Hatchling

When the moon is out,
You can hear the wolves howl their
song.
Their song is beautiful with out words.
Yet no one hears their song.
They just keep howling, until they are heard.
With the moon shinning on them
while they walk, alone wondering if they will be
heard
When the moon is out keep an ear out
For their howls

I love how this poem screams "I'll keep trying until my voice is head." There's some nice imagery in this piece as well. This poem is simplistic and powerful. Wonderful work!

Why do wolves howl at the moon ? Some say they do it because nighttime is the perfect time for them to be hunting. They raise up and howl when they find food, alerting the rest of the pack to their location.

Others say the wolves howl giving recognition and respect to the spirits of the night, in this case, the moon. Perhaps it's both of these, Fluttershy ? :)
