CHRISTMAS

A prisoner missing this love...

 

The sun hangs heavy in the winters sky,

bitter tears form in my eye.

It’s a time for: warmth, love and togetherness,

but all I feel is: cold, hate and loneliness!

 

Here the routine stays the same,

we wake, we eat, we sleep again.

But beyond the wall life is full,

laughing, loving, it says it all!

 

Christmas is soon it’s a time of cheer,

but missing you, fills me with tear.

I write, I phone, but its not the same,

being with you I’d wish to claim!

 

Your warmth and love would fill my heart,

I miss this feeling now we’re apart.

I dream of memories of us as one,

two people together having fun!

 

One day now lies in our future life,

that I will take you as my wife.

Then love with you I would have,

and take you down that lovers path!
