Break Away

Bind me, 

chain me. 

Tie me down with gods strongest rope. 

You can never hold me down. 

I’ll laugh as heads turn to the sound of snapping rope 

and The ting of braking  chain.  

No rope can hold me. 

No chain can bind me. 

Then when I’m free, I’ll spread my wings 

and watch as the shadow spreads silently across the earth, 

up to heaven and down to damnation.

 I’ll make them see that, 

I still stand, 

tall and proud,

 before I blow them down with the winds of my wings.
