Doctor,Doctor,

Doctor,Doctor,

A Story by Wyrn Tiger

I'm a captive of my own body. Things, monstrous things, wage war inside me. I have sat here for nights living a curse inside a nightmare. I dream of white latexed hands pull things out of me, until there's nothing but nothing left inside me. I'm in a roller coaster ride controlled my fear. My family hopes but i know death is tying the ropes. Now I'm trapped in a sterilized nightmare. Heaven is already ringing the bell on this fight, waiting for the cancer to take over, but for now I'm a captive in my own body. The doctors work is shoddy. I'm just a kid, hoping only to have hope.

This is very provoking.

I love the analogy. It seems to relate very well both literally and metaphorically.

“I'm a captive of my own body. Things, monstrous things, wage war inside me.”
I like how these lines flow when spoken aloud. They start the poem off very well.

You use strong imagery. The surgical imagery is very provoking and intense. The line “until there's nothing but nothing left inside me.” is my favorite.

“White latexed hands things out of me” this line seems a bit off to me, like there is a word missing between “hands” and “things”.

I absolutely loved reviewing this! It’s a fantastically portrayed analogy!
