one short day

one short day

My mind scatters like fallen leaves through the windy nights

I try to catch my thoughts but I can't seem to put each part together

My body is numb and I wait for the sun to rise

I look up the sky and its still night

Clouds turning purple and I hear owls calling

My brain is unbalanced because I slept in the most random times

It was a short day and the trees are getting calm

I turn my head and birds are watching my every step

It seems like the people around me are walking slowly

Folks are sitting in front of their houses listening to their radio

I observe every scenario

I can feel my eye muscles because they hurt as I look from left to right

I don't even want to stare at the light

This was just another short day

I guess there is nothing more I can say
