A Poem by Johee Poetry

Silence revolves around me..
No one speaks..
Confused expressions as I try to seek..
I seek for an explanation
Tension felt and sadness surrounds me..
Unspoken lips and twisted frowns..
Heavy minded heads hiding from real emotions..
A few minutes of tears and bodies starving for love..
Two parenting humans with disappointment..
Surprised for the back hand they are received with.
Their once loving child comes back from an education.
They never understood why he would do the things he did.
They once waited anxiously as their son came back from the military..
They never thought they'd be ignored by their own son.
A son hit in the head so many times it made him mentally insane..
This just took them to another lane..
Different directions to confront now..
They just wonder how..
A child can change so much after a trip to war..
They just had to wait until the big man said anymore..
A son is now taken to mental institutes ..
A victim of bush's mistakes..
He could've saved this kids life for his sake..
This government is FAKE..
I just wonder how much more all these innocent people are going to take..
P.E.A.C.E is a word that will never become the truth..
Really, this all depends on you..
Keep ignoring the violence, drugs, and the kidnappings..
I'm just waiting for more happenings..
Hidden pieces of my soul wonders around me..
Telling me to speak out and forget everyone who is pointing at me..
The truth will set me free..
I will keep on speaking till I see..
Let our WORDS be free..
