Last Time

Its funny how I woke up from the 3 hour surgery that morning

"that was fast" is what I said and my surgeon started laughing

I heard him say "Everything went better than expected Johee"

I was relieved..

I had trust in Dr.Tidwell..I searched for him

It was only he who agreed with my surgery

He was the one that corrected Dr.Stricker's wrongdoings

Because its not like Dr.Stricker cared I saw

But enough of that doctor...Dr.Tidwell did it all

If you only felt the excruciating pain after the surgery

All I asked for was for that damn morphine

Grateful for the family and friends calls and visits

I'm just glad I got back home so quickly

Now I have to be stronger as I learn to walk differently

I get upset when someone tries to help me get up

I'm just so used to do doing it all myself

But I know I need to stop being hardheaded and get some help

So I hope its the last time I get cut up

I don't think I wanna go back to this place

Because Ive been there enough

I don't think anyone has suffered through surgery as much as me

I guess Ill have to see

Where god wants to take me
