The flower that didn't blossom

She is a flower

So delicate and sensitive

A great woman and so committed

But as her marriage went along it wasn't good how she was treated

Her man started drinking and played her

He never drank when he dated her

He was a gentlemen and was respectful

Until years passed by and he wasn't happy

Alcohol was his way out

He started leaving home so he wouldn't get caught

With two kids and he didn't care about the new baby

A baby born with a birth defect

He didn't know how to take so he was affected

She loved him and but she couldn't do anything

She wanted to leave him but she looked at her ring

She knows this was a commitment

So she tried to make an agreement

She stayed home and just prayed

She couldn't believe how he turned away

She cried because she had a feeling he was fooling around

Every weekend night she was in bed she would hear that sound

His drunken steps and breaking stuff

She knew this relationship was going rough

This flower that once was  sensitive and was OK

Now is a dark and lonely one full of rage

Her pedals fell as she was so disappointed

She thought  this was great guy, but she now avoided

This flower that didn't blossom

She was so tired and she knew she lost him

Until one day her life changed

She came in her door

She saw something different

Roses in her table

He came up to her and he said I'm sorry

Baby I love that child, baby don't worry

She cried as he hold her tight

Everything was gonna be alright

He said "baby I'm so grateful for having that baby and you"

Baby I wont fool around because I want to be true

He changed his drinking habits and carried that baby like it was his world

He looked at that flower that didn't blossom

Now he saw a smile in her face

Everything changed in that place

Till this day he is happy he had that baby

Because that baby was me
