True to myself

I had to do it and let it go

Don't want to do what I did but I had to let him know

Its true I do love him but I never lied to him though

I did what no other girl would do

I stayed faithful to him I stayed true

At least I know I tried

I learned so much as these days passed me by

I just think of how we spent our days n just sigh

Now I can't say what if

I know I let go the person I wanted to be with

But I'm sure he knew what was coming

It just cant work that way, So I have to try something

Try something else to see what is better for me

Because

I have to stay true to myself

I think its time for me to stay by myself

Stay true to yourself

Just gotta find somebody else

Just gotta stay true to myself

I guess this happens for a reason

Don't want anyone to be mistreated

So much misunderstandings

Don't think I wanna start dating

I get bored just telling people my life

But I cant give up so I have to give it another try

I know its not hard to find a great guy

But there's so much things I can do to make a guy say bye

Trust me Ive met great guys with a broken heart

They didn't want to try to get to know me so they give up

But its all good I did what I did and I don't regret it

Each experience I take to the heart and just say

I stay true to myself

I just have to find somebody else

You gotta stay to yourself

Just gotta be true to myself
