Made of glass

Made of glass

A Poem by Joe Gibson

Made Of Glass

We’re all so fragile

and easily broken

glass hearts pump shards of life

through a hollowed vessel

what's the purpose of breathing

if you hate the taste of air?

I honestly felt nothing

before I met you.

then a spark

gave fire to a fuelless love

explosions

like fireworks

light up my eyes

the first time I saw you

I didn’t know your name

but it was solely irrelevant

you rarely know the ones you fall for

I need you

but you may not no

the expressionless face

its a defensive mechanism

that won’t shut off

so if we fall apart

and we break

like glass

I’ll try my best

to put you back together

If you do the same

for me

my love.
