Pink

Pink

A Poem by Joe Gibson
"

I enjoy the color pink, do you?

"

Pink

All is pink.

the still life

salmon sky

the cotton

fluffed clouds

navigate through

the breezing wind.

pink is the best color

I think all

is pink;

every last

inanimate object

slowly solidifies

its watery

image

into

a pink masterpiece

pink bunnies

prance elegantly

through the

candy filled

pink fields

the water

is a

devilishly sweet

pink stream

of lemonade

tears

turn into

pink gumdrops

everything

is always pink

but then

I close my eyes

everything’s

black.

all is black

the twisted silhouette

of the charcoal

smeared sky

the lightning

filled amebic clouds

stumble

through the howling gust

black is the only color

.when I see

all is black

every last

lifeless object

twines duskily

into a masterpiece

of dark endeavors

black wolves

stalk

through the

shady forest

rustling ferociously

the water is

but a lake

of black tears

cried from the

most prominent

of demons

tears

turn into streams of grim sins

when I

open my eyes again

the pink returns

blossoming back again

I haven’t slept

in a week

the murders have stopped

since then
