Moon madnessA Poem by joeyThe bustle of human life starts to become muffled and then is muted altogether Quiet All form of sound is swallowed into a gaping abyss of silence The constant chatter of daytime abruptly lost in the void of night Bliss The feeling of complacency crashes over me in tremendous waves And I allow this primordial embodiment of silence to take control Silence Stars overhead, like fine holes being poked through the fabric of the nighttime sky The almost mournful, milky light of the full moon encasses the world in a silver film Ecstasy Mind meshing with the very essence of the night I spin in endless circles, barefoot in the cool grass, rejoicing in the hypnotic silver light Realization As the silvery light dissolves into nothingness, it is replaced by the peachy rays of dawn And I come to the understanding that my peaceful moment of silence and repose
Is over
