The things we wish onA Poem by joey
Shooting stars
streak through the air burning up in the night sky making us forget that they were there Dandelions and four leaf clovers making wishes in your head but once you pick them from the ground the wish is just as dead Birthday candles come only once a year blow them out and once again you're left in the same darkness that you fear Throw a penny in a magic fountain to sink in the water all the others drowned in The sad part is we wish on things that fall apart to blind ourselves from the breaking of our hearts
