Emptiness

Emptiness

A Poem by joey

Here it is,
the bitter end
The emptiness consumes my heart again

Can't think,
can't breathe, can't hear a sound
The emptiness pushing down
down
down
It bleeds from my soul,
escapes from my eyes
I'm turning into the person that I despise

The shadows come near,
to drown out my screams
And all that's left is the emptiness, it seems

Apathetic aspirations,
and entirely quiet sounds
In the emptiness I'm consumed, in the emptiness I'll drown.

Holy goodness that was beautiful... Wow. That was good. I swear this isn't an insult to your writing but this is my favorite out of everything you've written.

Hard to become what you dislike. Sometime we become the person by accident and mistake. Easy to begin again. Just stop and re-adjust. I like the thoughts in the poem. Good description made me ponder many things. Thank you for the excellent poem.

Depression feels like drowning in a black void of nothingness. You have described this feeling really well.
